On a Far East tour, a short flight between countries can require as much planning as a long international flight. In a package that moves you from Bangkok to another country, or from Japan to Korea, you need to read the ticket, baggage, airport and hotel changes together. A heading listing all the cities does not mean these transfers are offered under the same conditions.
Seeing the phrase "travel by flight" in the daily program is not enough. In the included services, check that the connecting flight ticket, taxes and airport transfer are clearly stated. If there is a separate fee, add it to the total comparison. It should be clear whether the transport is arranged by the operator or whether the traveler is expected to buy a ticket separately.
A single reservation number also does not mean you have the same service rights on every flight. Flights within a package may be operated by different airlines or under different ticket conditions. Read each flight line separately and note the airport code, date and local time.
Do not assume the baggage allowance given for an international flight also applies to a regional flight. The size, weight and piece limits for cabin and checked baggage may differ. Compare the written flight information for the tour with the current rules of the relevant airline, and do not pack based on uncertain kilogram information. If you plan to shop, take the final connecting flight into account as well.
If there are two flights on the same day, ask whether your baggage will be tagged through to the final destination and whether you need to collect and re-check it. If you move between different airports, the duration and responsibility for that transfer should be determined separately. Do not assume separate tickets provide automatic protection in case of delay; request the connection plan in writing from the operator.
A short flight does not consist only of the time spent on the plane. Checking out of the hotel, transfers, baggage drop-off, security and getting to the new hotel can take up a significant part of the day. Evaluate the morning and evening schedule with this whole picture in mind. Before buying an independent, non-refundable activity ticket for arrival day, confirm the group timetable.
For each intermediate leg, write down the airline, airport, date, included baggage, transfer and arrival hotel. Rather than filling in an unknown line with a guess, ask about it. Also verify transit and passport conditions separately, based on the actual flight route you will use.
You can compare multi-country programs within Far East Tours using this method. For a later period, check at which stage the flight plan is finalized in the 2027 Tours options. Keeping the last confirmed program makes it easier to track changes.
